Spencer has served as the CEO and president of Wizzard Software since its founding in 1996. He is responsible for the overall direction of the company and was selected as one of the top 20 most influential individuals in the speech recognition industry by Speech Technology Magazine. His business experience is widely varied, including the founding and CEO roles with ChinaWire, Inc. and Lotto USA, Inc. He also was involved in the founding, acquisition of financing, operation and ultimate sale of John Valiant, Inc. Spencer sits on the Board of Directors of Cennoid Technologies, a software company that develops encryption and compression software for the Internet. He attended West Virginia University.
Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Wizzard, Busshaus acted as an independent business consultant, guiding organizations through the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley, assisting with the filing of SEC reports and taking companies through an IPO. Mr. Busshaus previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Talanga International, where he assisted in daily operations of the company, in addition to leading accounting and finance efforts. He also worked for Mellon Financial Institution as Controller and Vice President, where his responsibilities included annual and strategic planning within Global Security Services.
Over twenty years of experience in the areas of software and emerging technology. Roles ranging from hands-on implementation to Executive Management experience in operations, marketing and sales support and product development. Career focus has been with dynamic organizations transforming hardware, software, and technology into marketable products and services. Prior to joining Wizzard Media, Laurie worked for the Department of Defense, Westinghouse and local start-ups including FORE Systems, BroadStreet Communications and TimeSys Corporation. Laurie received her BS in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell Univeristy and her MS from Tepper, Carnegie Mellon University.
